Spring water flowing freely
down a hill.
Meets a stream.
The stream takes the water
on a journey to its destiny.
The stream then meets the
rushing river.
The river welcomes the
stream with open arms.
The the river continues on
with the journey of the
destiny.
The destiny is the Ocean.
The Ocean gladly accepts
the river into its mouth.
Devouring it greedily.
Making it one with itself.
Finally the journey of destiny
is complete.

The Black Death- Ode to The Exxon Disaster
the oil barge floats,
floats upon the water.
floats like a babe in a
mothers womb.
something was wrong,
the captain was losing
control.
CONTROL!
the barge smashed,
crashed upon the reef.
pointed and jagged the
reef tore the barge apart.
black oil, the black death,
poured out of the barge.
like blood from a wound.
the black death covers the
waters like a shiny blanket
of death.
suffocating what ever it
touched.
along the coast the black
death covers the beaches
and shore lines.
Animals wither in pain as
they suffocate in the grip
of the black death.
the black death ruins and
destroys what it touches.
mother nature withers in
pain as the black death
envelopes her in its
black grip of death
floats upon the water.
floats like a babe in a
mothers womb.
something was wrong,
the captain was losing
control.
CONTROL!
